What Wood Floor Finish To Choose

1. Oiled wood flooring
An oiled finish for wooden floors is the perfect option when you’re looking for a natural looking finish, this option will give you a nice natural, matt look. Nowadays you can find lots of different colours and shades, also oil finish for wood flooring works well with protective hard - wax finish and provides both deep penetration and good protection for wooden floors.
2. Lacquered wood flooring

A lacquer is a bit like a modern day varnish and is applied to a wooden floors as a way of protecting the floor and available in Matt, Semi Matt and Glossy look after application.  Lacquer effectively sits on the top of the wooden flooring and doesn’t sink in like oil does. Advantage of the Lacquered wood flooring is that it becomes almost water resistance, also it is easy to clean. The downside - the scratches shows very easy, and the only way to repair is to sand and refinish.
3. Smoked wood flooring

5. Wire-Brushed Hardwood Flooring

6. Thermo or Fired wood flooring
Thermally treated wood floors have gone through a non-toxic and natural process that essentially cooks the wood, thereby changing the entire makeup of the wood. The Wood is heated to 400+ degree heat in an environment that is free of oxygen.
In Thermo or Fired wood flooring, the wood is heated to remove the organic compounds in the wood cells, so that it will no longer absorb water, contract or expand, and can no longer provide sustenance for fungi and insects. The process naturally produces durable wood that is everlastingly resistant to insects, water, and decay.
Because the wood is not absorbing chemicals to be treated, but rather removing moisture, the wood is lightweight.
Many products offered in this category are rated for 20 or 25 years of exterior use.
The gradual heating process leave gives the wood a rich and dark brown appearance which gives it an unexpected tropical look. The product is light in weight, durable and can last up to 20 or 30 years of interior or exterior use.
