ABOUT: Black Walnut

American black walnut features an impressive variation between it's pale, creamy sapwood and the deep tones of the heartwood within. The heartwood holds an array of warm brown pigments from caramel through to darkened ambers and cocoa, with the occasional flare of a dark purple or even crimson. When selecting timber for American black walnut parquet flooring, a compelling effect can be created by choosing pieces that include both sapwood and hardwood for an even more playful composition.
